AMERICAN FAMILY CAMP

AFC was established in the spring of 2007 after two years of weekly meetings by people who were concerned about the eroding condition of the family.  We are a 501c3 non-profit organization.

The purpose of AFC is to provide educational training in a camping, or retreat, environment which trains leaders to equip households to function according to God’s Biblical plan and thrive as Christ-centered families.

We believe the individual maturity process takes time, which is why we have created seven distinct Family Camp formats that can be attended progressively over the course of two years.  AFC provides the staff and educational material to train leaders in operating a family camp to teach these seven courses.  AFC can also provide the foundational material of “How to operate a camp” for those who have never organized or run a camp.

AFC’s board of directors consists of individuals with extensive camping experience who have joined together in a collaborative effort to fulfill the purpose of AFC.  These directors, who are all business owners, serve on this board due to their concern for the unhealthy condition of today’s families.  Their combined experience in ministry, education, business, and camping make them uniquely qualified to provide the direction that this endeavor requires.

Through it’s extensive contacts with church leaders, higher educational institutions, and camping programs, AFC board members bring a synergy of information, knowledge, and expertise to provide families the tools they need to leave a lasting Christian valued legacy to their children.
